Morgan, winning skipper: The guys really produced from ball one. We took early wickets and that pressure continued throughout. The old pro Afridi did a good job, Shinwari was impressive too. Collectively as a unit we were very impressive, building on yesterday's mistakes we recovered very well. No catch is an easy catch, the dew may make it difficult, but most of the players are international players. We need to focus on the processes, Islamabad will have some of their bigger players back and put up a performance worthy of a play-off.

Misbah, losing skipper: Credit goes to them, they played well. We could have scored 20-25 more runs; 150 would have been a fighting score here, especially with the dew. With the Sharjah pitch, with the ball skidding on, it is difficult for the spinners. You can only fire it into the stumps, bowl straight and that's all you have in your hand. The changes we made were forced. The guys had niggles and we didn't want to risk them before a big game.

Karachi Kings beat table-toppers Islamabad United

The table is set. Karachi rocket upwards, to number two in the points table - helping themselves to a back up match. And they do it with a serious thrashing. Denly started it off maximizing the powerplay, Babar and Ingram strolled home. With enough defences, singles and resisting the temptation for glory hits, they ensured they kept things professional. And simple. But it was simplified by their bowlers, especially Usman Khan. It's his consecutive match of standing out, this time though with four wickets and a win for his side as well to sweeten things. In the process, with Zalmi winning earlier in the day, Multan have been sent packing.

Most Wicket is PSL 2018 so far

JP Duminy, Man of the Match: I think opening the batting is new to me and I have liked it in this version of the PSL. I do think the wicket played better in the second half of the game. I was pleased with the way it went for me. There were great innings played around me. That allowed me to play a long innings.

Earlier in the evening, Quetta lost their big three for hardly 41 on the board. Watson, Roy and KP never troubled the scorers too much and it was up to their skipper Sarf to bail them out of troubled waters. That he did but the final bend turned out to be a disappointing one as wickets fell in the search for quick runs. The dew also played a major part as it only got worse with the game.

Islamabad United on course for another win

So, two young men Asif Ali and Talat finish it off with some lusty blows after the fifty from Duminy had set it up. A target of 148 was never enough and with dew being a cheer leader for the United side, it was always a race against the odds for Quetta. They removed Ronchi and Hales before they could take off but Duminy piloted the innings and cocooned Islamabad from any sort of a threat. Shadab again got a promotion but failed to score a lot. And in the end it was a canter with some fireworks at the end. So, Karachi Kings have a chance now to finish second if they derail this juggernaut called Islamabad United.

16.5 overs Rahat Ali to Duminy, out Caught by Hasan Khan!! Pulled away flat and taken by the man at deep mid-wicket. Length ball, could have been swatted away but the batsman never intended to keep it down. The ball flew flat off the bat only for the man in the deep to get both hands to it. Was that shot needed? Peshawar Zalmi win big to stay in the playoff race

A clinical victory in the end for Sammy and his boys. With this win, they remain in the hunt for the play-offs. And it makes things much spicier as we move forward. Babar Azam was the only batsman who managed to get going at the top. No significant contribution from the top-order, Boom Boom Afridi showed glimpses of his might but as so often is the case, he couldn't kick-on. Once he was dismissed, the result was a foregone conclusion. Peshawar add those vital two points to their kitty.

Not a list Mohammad Irfan jnr will be proud of topping

181 it will stay. But given the trends this season, Karachi are going to need a record chase to overhaul this. Peshawar meanwhile need every single one of their runs, it's a must win for them, remember. They started out scratching, without any sort of timing. But once Akmal struck, he struck them big. Nasim stuck around with him, and then with Sammy, who struck them bigger. But take nothing away from Usman Khan, three overs at the top and then a quiet one at the death to finish with 11 runs off his quota of four with three wickets as well, standing tall in the midst of the carnage.

Kamran Akmal hits two sixes as Afridi taken for 21 off the over

13.1 overs Afridi to Kamran Akmal, SIX, running down, doesn't get anywhere close, but doesn't stop his tonk either. Lofts it towards long-off, where the fielder for some strange reason is well inside the ropes. He back-tracks, gets his palms and escorts it over

Shahid Afridi, Man of the Match says: The conditions suited the spinners. I want to give credit to Babar, Denly and Ingram for posting such a match winning score. I try to keep things simple in T20Is and try for variations sometimes. When you win against good teams, your team morale gets a boost.

Joe Denly outspoken performance against Multan Sultans

Imad Wasim, winning captain: We needed that victory because we were under pressure after last two games. I think batting first is the go-to in this tournament. Credit goes to Azam, Denly and Ingram. (Ingram) is a very good batsman of spin and he bats at number 3 or 4. The bowling performance was fantastic after that start between Shehzad and Sangakkara. You want to win for your franchise and such things happen in cricket (exchange of words between Mohammad Amir and Ahmed Shehzad). Overall, happy with the team effort.

Denly, Azam star in Karachi's big win

Karachi Kings beat Multan Sultans and move onto the number second spot in the points table. It was a clinical performance by the Kings today - with the bat as well as the ball. Having posted their highest ever total in PSL history, they managed to put the Sultans on the back foot at the halfway stage itself. Sanga and Shehzad got the newcomers in PSL off to a good start but after that opening stand, there was nothing to cheer about. Shahid Afridi bowled a gem of a spell and choked the opposition with his brilliant figures of 4-1-18-3. If not the bat, he'll win you matches with the ball - such a match winner.

Malik comes down the wicket and swings hard but fails to make contact to this straighter delivery. The ball takes down the leg-stump and up go Lala's arms - his patent celebration. 19-year-old Saif Badar deserved a better send-off

9.5 overs Afridi to Saif Badar, out Bowled!! Look at that reaction from Afridi. He shows the way to the dressing room. Clearly he didn't like being carted for a four and six. Quicker delivery on the stumps, Badar went for the late cut, the shot wasn't on because there was absolutely no room, ended up chopping it back onto the sticks. Denly and Babar Azam drive Karachi Kings to the highest total

That's a commendable batting effort by Karachi Kings, quite similar to Islamabad United's batting effort yesterday. On the back of Joe Denly's brilliant knock of 78, Karachi Kings have managed to post a massive score. Later it was the opener's partnership alongside Babar Azam that laid the foundation for the Kings. Colin Ingram's blitzkrieg of 29*(8) that included 4 massive sixes was the icing on the cake. Apart from Mohammad Irfan, none of the Multan bowlers were spared today. Chasing 189 especially against a bowling unit that consists of bowlers like Amir, Afridi and Imad wouldn't be easy at all. Well made solid fifty from Babar Azam

18.3 overs Viljoen to Babar Azam, out Caught by Shehzad!! Sharp catch by Shehzad in the deep. Takes it nicely and loses balance but manages to stay away from the boundary cushions. Short of a length around off, Azam pulls it hard but Shehzad near the mid-wicket fence does an even better job. An excellent piece of fielding brings an end to Azam's fireworks. Denly's strong 50 run knock sets up Karachi solid start

9.3 overs Tahir to Denly, 1 run, fifty off 33 balls from Denly. Very full and on the stumps, Denly drives it to long-on. Karachi have scored 65 thus far and 50 have come from Denly

Shane Watson put up an amazing display of skill

Shane Watson (90*, 3-0-18-1), Man of the Match: "It was important to stay out there. A few mis-hits went in the gap. The ones that I hit went in the gap. There were a few dropped catches, so you've got to capitalize on those opportunities. I love to be a part of the team, and I'm enjoying my cricket right now." Shane Watson is the highest scorer of the PSL so far, thanks to his 90*, and he receives the Hanif Mohammad cap.
