Shahid Afridi, Man of the Match says: The conditions suited the spinners. I want to give credit to Babar, Denly and Ingram for posting such a match winning score. I try to keep things simple in T20Is and try for variations sometimes. When you win against good teams, your team morale gets a boost.

Joe Denly outspoken performance against Multan Sultans

Imad Wasim, winning captain: We needed that victory because we were under pressure after last two games. I think batting first is the go-to in this tournament. Credit goes to Azam, Denly and Ingram. (Ingram) is a very good batsman of spin and he bats at number 3 or 4. The bowling performance was fantastic after that start between Shehzad and Sangakkara. You want to win for your franchise and such things happen in cricket (exchange of words between Mohammad Amir and Ahmed Shehzad). Overall, happy with the team effort.

Denly, Azam star in Karachi's big win

Karachi Kings beat Multan Sultans and move onto the number second spot in the points table. It was a clinical performance by the Kings today - with the bat as well as the ball. Having posted their highest ever total in PSL history, they managed to put the Sultans on the back foot at the halfway stage itself. Sanga and Shehzad got the newcomers in PSL off to a good start but after that opening stand, there was nothing to cheer about. Shahid Afridi bowled a gem of a spell and choked the opposition with his brilliant figures of 4-1-18-3. If not the bat, he'll win you matches with the ball - such a match winner.

19-year-old Saif Badar deserved a better send-off

Quicker delivery on the stumps, Badar went for the late cut, the shot wasn't on because there was absolutely no room, ended up chopping it back onto the sticks. Denly and Babar Azam drive Karachi Kings to the highest total

That's a commendable batting effort by Karachi Kings, quite similar to Islamabad United's batting effort yesterday. On the back of Joe Denly's brilliant knock of 78, Karachi Kings have managed to post a massive score. Later it was the opener's partnership alongside Babar Azam that laid the foundation for the Kings. Colin Ingram's blitzkrieg of 29*(8) that included 4 massive sixes was the icing on the cake. Apart from Mohammad Irfan, none of the Multan bowlers were spared today. Chasing 189 especially against a bowling unit that consists of bowlers like Amir, Afridi and Imad wouldn't be easy at all. Well made solid fifty from Babar Azam

18.3 overs Viljoen to Babar Azam, out Caught by Shehzad!! Sharp catch by Shehzad in the deep. Takes it nicely and loses balance but manages to stay away from the boundary cushions. Short of a length around off, Azam pulls it hard but Shehzad near the mid-wicket fence does an even better job. An excellent piece of fielding brings an end to Azam's fireworks. Denly's strong 50 run knock sets up Karachi solid start

Shane Watson put up an amazing display of skill

Shane Watson (90*, 3-0-18-1), Man of the Match: "It was important to stay out there. A few mis-hits went in the gap. The ones that I hit went in the gap. There were a few dropped catches, so you've got to capitalize on those opportunities. I love to be a part of the team, and I'm enjoying my cricket right now." Shane Watson is the highest scorer of the PSL so far, thanks to his 90*, and he receives the Hanif Mohammad cap.

Quetta jump to second spot with big win

Sarfraz Ahmed, Quetta Gladiators captain: "The way KP and Watson batted, it was a learning experience for the youngsters. Brillaint batting. Their shot selection has been really good. And KP worked in a crucial match, which is what big players are all about. Whether we lose or we win, we try to give confidence to the players and that's how we have revived ourselves in the tournament. Rahat has bowled really well, and Nawaz has set the tone for us. Ben Laughlin did well as well, and Anwar was fabulous for us on the field too. Overall, a great team performance by our side."

Watson, Pietersen set up record win for Quetta

So there we are. A great start by Watson to the Gladiators' batting, and he carried his bat for an impressive 90*. Pietersen made a brisk half-century as well to give the innings some momentum, and they were absolutely unstoppable on their way to 180 (although they looked set for more at some stage). The move to promote Shahid Afridi backfired for the Kings, as he played and missed repeatedly, and finally just gifted his wicket for 1(6). After they were 2/2, the Kings never really recovered and lost 5 for 33. Imad Wasim tried to build a partnership, but he just wasn't getting the timing right in trying to hit the ball too hard. The Gladiators' spinners were supreme, snaffling a wicket apiece and conceding just 36 off their 8 overs and playing a big part in the highest margin of victory in PSL history. Watson (90*, 3-0-18-1) is a strong contender for MoM.

Watson, KP Powers Quetta Gladiators to 180

Quetta finish with 180, set up by a couple of excellent partnerships at the top. Watson and Pietersen looked in great rhythm out there, putting Karachi's bowlers under a lot of pressure through their aggressive strokeplay. Karachi were on the way to pulling things back after Pietersen's departure, but Watson carried on and has driven Quetta to a very sizeable total here. It will have to be the highest run-chase in the PSL this year if Karachi are to get there.

Misbah, winning skipper: A wonderful performance. We were missing that in the earlier games, clinical with the ball and then with the bat. The batting was struggling at the top and today we got a lot of it back. We knew that Imad would bowl with the new ball and could be a threat and that's why we needed a left-hander at the top, which someone like JP with his experience provided. And that gives the guy at the other end to free up and play his shots. A game like the last one against Lahore gave us a lot of confidence. Once you do well against sides who are playing well you get a lot of confidence.

Ronchi smashed 10 fours and 3 sixes in his blitzy knock

Luke Ronchi, Man of the Match: I haven't done it in the last few innings and it was nice to contribute to a much needed victory. I try to keep it simple and not get worked up, looking for a simple mindframe. Especially with the way I play I know I am going to get out for a few low scores and I know it is about keeping a clear frame of head while doing it.

United end Karachi's streak with 8-wicket win

On a ground where 120 has caused upsets, Karachi have managed to make a mockery of 153 tonight. Karachi never got their act right with the ball - bowling down leg, bowling short and doing it wrong consistently. Ronchi started it and his momentum rubbed off on Duminy, who conviniently switched roles to that of an anchor once he fell. Karachi's fingers didn't help their cause either. Neither did their middle-order eating up balls and denying them at least another 20 runs. Right, Islamabad move a spot upwards, Karachi manage to hold onto their top spot.

Luke Ronchi brings up fifty off only 23 balls

6.4 overs Tymal Mills to Ronchi, FOUR, keeps rolling on. A massive move away, baseball-like now. Swings. And it is on a mode to damage the sightscreen. Oh the power. It's his fifty too .. off a mere 24 ballsTo add to Karachi's chagrin, Ronchi displayed an unexpected ease while picking early boundaries as he gave his side a flying start in chase. By the end of the batting powerplay, Islamabad already had 61 runs on board, with Ronchi scoring 40 of those. His opener partner JP Duminy played perfect foil to the New Zealander, as Karachi struggled to break through.

Rizwan's cameo leads Karachi past the 150 mark

15 off the final over will take Karachi past the 150-run mark. They lost track a bit after losing both set batsmen in quick time, but Rizwan's cameo pilot them to a challenging total. Manzoor and Babar Azam set the tone after Denly was dismissed early. Both batsmen compiled fifties, United pulled things back to an extent in the last few overs by picking up wickets.
